“Perception and perspective are often the fundamental differences that control
human behavior and the quality of our lives.”
-Tony Robbins
Learning and taking brave steps change our perception and perspective. And when you have those “ah-ha” moments, they truly are beautiful and motivating. Because ultimately we are all always learning and growing.
One human behavior that I’m focusing on right now is drinking my water. A good rule of thumb is to drink half your weight in ounces (i.e. 150 lbs = 75 oz of water). Keeps things simple.
When I was working full time at the office and going to meetings and such, I developed a really good routine of drinking enough water. I figured out that if I attached my work keys to my water bottle handle, then I couldn’t go anywhere without both my water bottle and my work keys. So naturally I would be in meetings and my water would be staring at me, so I would drink it. The water bottle was always staring at me and so it forced me to commit. Granted I was going to the bathroom A LOT, but it reminded me how I’m fueling my body and encouraged me to continue.
Now I’m at home. Mostly working at home. With my kids around. And I need to get back into a routine of drinking water. I have countless days where I don’t even remember the last time I went to the bathroom… therefore I need to be drinking more.
So therefore NEXT WEEK I’m co-hosting a FREE event with the focus of “Walking and Water”. I know I’m not the only one who needs to drink more water during the day, so we can join in and reestablish routines again! The “Walking and Water” group is free, and you can join the free group through the facebook invite. All of us who join in the group will get support from me and another coach, along with encouraging others along the way. Plus we can empower each other to walk and move. There are no restrictions of who can participate!
Come join!
Have a great Tuesday!
